You Are Embraced by God

JUNE 18TH, 2021      |   You are embraced by God.

His arms provide strength, power, and aid. “The islands look to me and wait in hope for my arm” (Isaiah 51:5 NIV). His hands provide power, means, and direction. “You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God” (Isaiah 62:3 NKJV). In His palm is power and a place of submission as you seek security and safety. “See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:16 NKJV).

His heart is a place of embrace and acceptance. “He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart” (Isaiah 40:11 NIV). His face turns toward you, both hearing and answering. “And I will never again turn my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit upon the people of Israel. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!” (Ezekiel 39:29 NLT).

God loves and embraces you. He will strengthen and help you, holding you steady in His firm grip (Isaiah 41:9-10). You are God’s child, carried close to His heart (Isaiah 40:11). When He looks at you, He smiles. And sometimes He tickles you, just to enjoy the sound of your laughter.

You Are Embraced by God

Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength!…

–Isaiah 51:9 NIV

Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength!…

–Isaiah 51:9 NIV

You are not a quitter! Winning is in your DNA. Before you were born, you were destined for greatness. Don’t stop now. You need to be the person God designed you to be. Get up and take your rightful place.

God has already redeemed the time for you. He is right there with you, cheering you as you go. Hear Him now: “You can do it, My child. You are already victorious through My righteous right hand. I destined you to win.”

Every battle won’t be easy, but the struggles you face will be worth it. They are present to strengthen your resolve, to teach and train your hands to war. There is a fighter in you. Fight until you see victory. Fight on, knowing you are never alone.

Thank your Father for holding you in His loving embrace.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you share with others so they too are embraced by their Father.
