Wisdom Through Mistakes

SEPTEMBER 2ND, 2020      |     If perfection is what you seek, you’ll never allow anyone else to make mistakes. If you don’t allow anyone else to make mistakes, you’ll end up doing everything yourself because no one can meet your standards.

God allows us to make mistakes even though He knows the perfect way to do things. God, who is perfect and knows that we are not, allows us to make mistakes so that we can learn from them. Shouldn’t we do the same for others? If we don’t allow others to make mistakes, aren’t we saying that we know more than God?

No one is perfect, yet we are being daily perfected through Christ. Our greatest lessons are often the result of our worst mistakes. God gives us a second, third, and millionth chance to get things right when we are seeking His will. Perhaps entertaining the thought that we don’t know it all and giving others a break will open the door to deeper wisdom. If anyone lacks wisdom, ask God who gives generously.

Wisdom Through Mistakes

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Allow yourself, and others, to make their own mistakes. Perhaps their biggest victory hinges on it.

Father, help me use my mistakes to become wiser and seek Your will for my life.
