Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? …And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love…. –Romans 8:35,38 NLT
Who Loves Ya, Baby?
The world loves you if you do this or that. There are always strings attached. IF you change, IF you conform, IF you become what others want you to be, THEN they will love you. The world’s love often depends on what you can do for them.
However, there is One who loves you exactly like you are, not as you should be, or wish to be. God has loved you in spite of all your faults, flaws, stubbornness, and rejection of His love. Nothing can ever stop or take away His love—it is eternal. You can’t earn it, you don’t deserve it, and you’ve never done anything to merit it. It is a gift.
God’s love makes you want to change—it doesn’t force you to. His love never makes you feel like He won’t love you if you fail, He already knows you’re going to fail. You don’t have to work for His love, for you are already loved. He loves you just as you are and loves you too much to leave you that way. He knows your every thought and deed, and He still loves you. There’s a commercial that asks, “What’s in your wallet?” The question that really matters is, “Who loves ya, baby?” The answer? Your heavenly Father—today, tomorrow, and forever.
Don’t spend your entire life seeking human love and acceptance, for you are already accepted by the Father.
Pray for revelation of just how much you are dearly loved by the Father.
