What About Me?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” –Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Does it sometimes seem as if other people are getting ahead while you feel stuck? The grass always seems greener, especially on social media. At some point or another, everyone feels a twinge of envy and have asked, “Why don’t I have: a job like Bob’s, a husband like Sue’s, a house like Brenda’s…?” The list goes on and on. Are you feeling overlooked by God? When you start feeling this way, it’s a good time to start thanking God, even in your current circumstance. God has a plan for you. Don’t focus on other people’s lives and make assumptions that they are better off than you. Instead, PRAISE God for what you have. REPENT and ask forgiveness for not trusting His plan. ASK God to show you what His purpose is for you. Reading your Bible and spending quiet time with God will help you hear His voice. Finally, be ready to say yes to whatever God speaks into your heart.
