Wait for It

MAY 6TH, 2022      |      Have you ever found yourself frustrated over a seemingly impossible situation where there appeared to be no way out? Have you ever wondered if God knew, or even cared, that you were going down for the third time, drowning in despair? It’s hard to keep your perspective focused on deliverance when you are fixated on hopelessness.

Wait for It

But Lot was slow to move. So the men took him, his wife and two daughters by the hand and brought them out of the city. For the Lord had loving-pity for him.

Have you ever found yourself frustrated over a seemingly impossible situation where there appeared to be no way out? Have you ever wondered if God knew, or even cared, that you were going down for the third time, drowning in despair? It’s hard to keep your perspective focused on deliverance when you are fixated on hopelessness.

Lot was considered a righteous man, but he was living in a sinful city. When the angels came to him, they told him to take his family and flee. But Lot and his wife had possessions, position, and a life in Sodom. They were having a hard time letting go of everything in order to follow the angels’ warning. When the family hesitated, the angels grasped their hands and forcibly rushed them to safety outside the city gates. Nothing was destroyed until Lot was safely out. But Lot’s wife looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt. Even though Lot resisted, our merciful God saved him and his daughters, leading them to safety.

God sees your despair, He hears your prayers, and He hasn’t forgotten you. He will deliver you even if He has to send angels to do it who can lead you by the hand. So, whatever it is, wait for it. Our merciful Lord is on the way.

In the midst of your despair, praise God for His faithfulness.

Cry out to your Heavenly Father who can deliver you from all your troubles.
