Unconditional Constants

SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2020      |       There is one unconditional constant on earth; and whether we can see it or not, it’s always there. The sun. It rises every morning, and it sets every night. It shines on the good and the evil. It does not pick or choose certain people who are qualified or deserving to shine on. Storm clouds come, they go, and they block our vision of the sun. But above those clouds, the sun is still shining brightly.

There’s another unconditional constant, one that is always there whether we can feel it or not. It is for everyone, not just those deemed perfect or worthy. In fact, it’s given even more abundantly to those considered weak and needy. The love of God. The storms of life come and go. They block our view of His love; but above all those storms, it is still shining brightly. So what is the one true unconditional constant we can always count on? God’s love. He never fails us. As surely as the sun rises each morning, so does His love shine on us. As surely as the sun sets, nothing can take His love from us.

He loved you first, He loved you best, and He loves you the uttermost.

Unconditional Constants

So that you may be sons of your Father who is in Heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

–Matthew 5:45 ESV

Morning by morning new mercies we see. Watch the sunrise and the sunset, they’re both proclaiming His love for you.

When you’re tempted to doubt the Father’s love, look at what He does for those who don’t even believe in Him. Trust Him.
