Thought Management for Trying Times

Thought Management for Trying Times

Do you find yourself questioning what you are hearing on the news? Is all this social distancing really going to make a difference? Has the stock market completely collapsed or will it quickly rebound? Will thousands of businesses simply cease to exist?

We really don’t know for certain the answers to any of these questions. But when our mind works overtime trying to process these kinds of questions, we create anxiety and stress for ourselves trying to know the unknowable.

What if instead of worrying we prayed and asked God to help us break the cycle. What if instead we ask Him, “Lord…

  • What is Your heart’s desire for me in this time?”
  • What more do You want to reveal to me about Yourself?”
  • Who do You want me share Your love with today?”
  • How can I lean more on You and trust You more?

This is a perfect time to develop a deeper, more intimate relationship with the Living God by spending time in His presence and feasting on His Word . God made the human heart to respond to His Word (Romans 10:17). As we read it and internalize it, we come to know it is true—and realize it is our anchor in times of trouble.

  • What is Your heart’s desire for me in this time?”
  • What more do You want to reveal to me about Yourself?”
  • Who do You want me share Your love with today?”
  • How can I lean more on You and trust You more?
