The Greatest Gift Of All

For to us a Child will be born. To us a Son will be given. -Isaiah 9:6 NLV

Christmas is the perfect time to share your faith. Don’t assume others believe in Jesus. No matter their age, they may be clueless about the Good News of Christ.

In, The True Meaning of Christmas–The Greatest Gift of All, Barbara Alpert writes, “Why are you crying?” the children asked their dad. “I never stopped to tell you what Christmas is really about. I took it for granted and thought you both knew. Now, I realize I‛ve been wrong. I was too focused on working and making a living. Now look at what has come of it all. Nearly everything has been taken away.”

Tommy replied, “No! Daddy, we did not lose it all! We are all here together and we still have this little manger. Please tell us about it while we put it under our tree.”

“Well, my dear children, the precious Gift that is inside this little manger is the true reason for Christmas. Lying within it is a Baby whose name is Jesus. He was sent from Heaven above to be a Savior for all who choose to believe in Him. He offers all of us a special gift that no amount of money could ever buy, an eternal lifetime guarantee into Heaven above, for all who choose to believe and follow Him.”

Jesus is the greatest gift you can give to others.

Prayer Focus

  • Ask God to prepare your heart to receive Christ into your heart this Christmas Season.
  • Pray that God would give you opportunities to share the Good News about Jesus with others.
