Take a Walk

March 18, 2021      |      When we think of events in the Bible, we often think about the big things like Noah’s flood, the parting of the Red Sea, and the feeding of the five thousand. Yet, there are many unknown events we might have missed because they’re hidden gems we have yet to notice, like chapter 3 of Genesis.

In Genesis 3:9-10, we discover that God Himself regularly walked in the cool of the day with Adam and Eve. Then in verse 9, God called out to them, “Where are you?” Adam tells God that he heard Him coming and was afraid because he was naked, and hid. Their relationship was now broken, and sin had entered the world. The hidden gem here is the walk God took with His creation. Like a father asking his children how their day was, we can imagine God catching up with His children.

When was the last time you took a walk with God? He never changes, He’s always there, and He longs to take a walk with you. Are you stressed out? Take a walk with the Father and share your cares. Don’t hide from Him—run to Him with everything. He’s asking, “Where are you?”

Take a Walk

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.

When life gets too much, it’s because we’re carrying too much. Cast your cares on Him; He’s got your back.

Take the time to just be with the Father; He’s looking for you. He wants your undivided attention.
