For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. –John 3:17 ESV

The world’s greatest superheroes are not in Marvel Comics, movies, or cartoons. They’re not celebrities, authors of great novels, or CEO’s making million-dollar deals. The real superheroes are those who make up the fabric of life that holds everything together. They’re the teachers who work tirelessly for far too little pay. They’re the healthcare workers that risk their own lives to help heal others. They’re those who have spent a lifetime doing good unto others while being abused themselves. They’re the policeman who give their all to protect and serve while being maligned and disrespected. They’re the people who are rarely thanked. The world is not worthy of them. But there is an ultimate superhero who embodies all strength, and He can conquer any foe. His name is Jesus. He who knew no sin became sin. He repaid a debt that He did not owe. He destroyed the works of the devil. He often gets little thanks, and the world isn’t worthy of Him. Yet, GOD, in His great love, gave us His all. John 3:17 explains that Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn it, but to save it. Now that’s a superhero!
