The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness.–Proverbs 15:2 NLT
It is God’s desire to teach, equip, and empower us through three main stages of spiritual transformation:1. Salvation – is a gift from God and marks the beginning of a new relationship with Him. Once we are saved, we become children of God and begin to grow in Christlikeness. 2. Sanctification– is the continuous process of becoming pure and holy, being separated from our sin nature in order to be used by God. Sanctification is an inward work of God that is a lifelong process. 3. Servanthood – is the position where God can use us here on earth. God’s Spirit working within us produces positive change that leads us to the good works we are called to fulfill. The Lord delights when we move out of the realm of sin, mature in good ways, and put to use the gifts and talents He entrusts to us in service to Him. Regardless of how mature we are, God is always in the business of teaching us new things. It’s important that we remain teachable students, learning His life lessons as He instructs us.
Holy Spirit, help me to grow in purity, faith, and understanding of You in order that I could be of greater service for Your Kingdom.
Help me, dear Lord, to recognize the good works I can do thatYou are placing in my path today.
