Short Prayers

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Here is a list of short prayers using the Word of God.

Prayer of Restoration: (Lamentations 5:19-21) “LORD, you remain the same forever! Your throne continues from generation to generation. Restore us, O LORD, and bring us back to you again! Give us back the joys we once had!”

For Deliverance from the enemy: (Psalm 31:15-17) “My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love! O Lord, let me not be put to shame.”

For Forgiveness: (Psalm 25:11) “For Your name’s sake, O Lord, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.”

To be Rescued from Attacks: (2 Timothy 4:18) “The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His Heavenly Kingdom. To Him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

For Healing: (3 John 1:2) “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”Prayer if you’re suffering from a terminal illness: (Psalm 115:17–18) “The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence; but as for us, we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forever.

Prayer Focus

  • Let God know that you trust in His Word and that it will not return void.
  • Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance the Word of God during times of need.
