Shine Your Light

MAY 14TH, 2020      |       Your life can be a light in the darkness of this world! All around you there is hate, lies, and confusion. People are stumbling. You hear many people saying that right looks wrong, and wrong looks right. You need to be a well-lit light to a lost world. Sometimes it is easier to stay away from people who do not believe or act like you do, but they need love and compassion too.

On the Cross, Jesus asked His Father to forgive those who were crucifying Him because they didn’t know what they were doing. He looked at them as victims. He chose not to see hatred. They had no idea they were crucifying their Lord and Savior. You may be the only light they see. Your influence can make an impact. The first and second commandment go hand in hand. The first commandment is that we are to love God, and the second commandment is found in Mark 12:31 (NLT), “The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

Godly love shows the world a different attitude toward those who hurt you—exactly what this world needs. So, let your light shine and fill the world with His love.

Shine Your Light

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

–Matthew 5:16 NIV

Remember, you are the only light an unbeliever may see.

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and speak through you.
