Be generous with me and I’ll live a full life; not for a minute will I take my eyes off your road. Open my eyes so I can see what you show me of your miracle-wonders. I’m a stranger in these parts; give me clear directions. -Psalm 119:17-19 (MSG)
Much of how you experience life is based upon your perception of things. Whether your perceptions are correct or not, they will determine how you handle life’s different situations. The prayer in the verse for today is perfect for helping you sort through your perceptions and assumptions.
Do you find that you see the world in such a way that seems to alienate you in your relationships with others? Do you find yourself always seeing the negative and never the positive?
Do you feel the whole world is against you? Could it be that your perceptions of the situations are wrong? Could it be that you need a touch from the living God who will open your eyes to His Truth?
Ask Him today to give you clear direction, vision and instruction for handling life’s different situations. He is faithful to open your eyes to His Truth when you seek Him. When you see the world through God’s lens, you will no longer be a victim but an instrument to showcase His glory.
One way to change your perspective is through praise; begin praising God for the people in your life. Begin praising Him because He is good and faithful! As you begin praising God, He will fill you with thankfulness and your joy will become contagious to the world around you.
