You will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. –Jeremiah 29:12-13 NASB
Your prayer life mirrors your spiritual growth and carries you from one level of faith, hope, and trust, to another. Prayer is how you communicate to God. You have this gift due to the intercession of His Son, Jesus, who died for you as the ultimate, unblemished sacrifice. The Holy Spirit, or Helper (John 14:16-17), is here on earth with you and connects the earthly realm to the spiritual realm.Your prayers are pathways which lead you to Him. Prayer paths are two-way streets. Your prayers travel to Him, and His Word and directions travel to you in a beautiful myriad of creative ways. A newly trodden or unearthed path can lead the way from what looks like a dead end, or low valley, to a new direction. Paths of prayer can carry you from where you are to somewhere new, or they can bring you back to where you need to be.Nothing is more important than prayer, nor can anything of true, eternal value be accomplished without prayer. Prayer is essential to your relationship with God, and it should always be your first response, reaction, and line of defense for anything and everything that life throws at you.
Thank You, dear Lord, for listening and guiding me through prayer.
Help me, Lord, to recognize Your voice in the many ways You are communicating with me.
