Passion and Christ

March 28, 2021     |      Innocent until proven guilty. Today’s judicial system is based on that phrase. Who proved Jesus’ guilt? There was no guilt or sin, only passion for humanity that was full of sin and guilt. Jesus’ sacrifice is beyond comprehension, beyond finite imagination, and beyond what’s acceptable as justice.

Yet, passion drove Him to the cross, drove Him to die for you. He knew the only way to totally mend the broken relationship between humankind and God, caused by the Fall, was to offer Himself as the only acceptable Living Sacrifice.

How can you thank Him for what He did for you? By dedicating your worship, praise, family, work, play, resources—your everything to Him. He deserves your respect, love, and honor every moment of every day. Sharing your testimony with others is your duty. Glorifying Him with yourself is your privilege. Let it be said of you that you are guilty of being a Christian in love with a passionate Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Passion and Christ

Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last. When the Roman officer overseeing the execution saw what had happened, he worshiped God and said, “Surely this man was innocent.”

–Luke 23:46-47 NLT

Thank God for His passionate love and mercy revealed in sending His Son to save you.

Pray for strength and courage to passionately share your love for Christ to everyone who crosses your path.
