On God’s Authority

JULY 26TH, 2021      |  Live long enough and you will experience the sting of somebody walking away. But with God, you never have to worry about Him turning His back. He loves you and is waiting for you to draw closer so He can draw closer to you. The closer you are to God, the stronger you become. You can find this theme throughout Scripture.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV).

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them (Isaiah 42:16 NIV).

If you feel tired, defeated, hopeless, hurt, disappointed, or angry, do the opposite of what feels right. Instead of fighting more, draw closer to God and fight less. He wants to lift those feelings and restore you to the strong, victorious person you are.

On God’s Authority

Those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.

–Psalm 9:10 AMP

Thank God for saving, calling, redeeming, and making your path straight.

Ask God to help you encourage others the way He has encouraged you.
