Nothing Is Too Big for God

APRIL 6TH, 2021      |      The Bible story of David and Goliath is well known to many Christians. Taking a closer look, we see the impossible in the natural was attained in the supernatural. David, a young boy about 14 years old, told the king he would fight Goliath, a giant and an imposing warrior. Goliath considered it an insult to fight a small boy. But David knew the size of his God was much larger than the giant. The result: David kills Goliath. First Samuel 17:47 (NIV) tells us, “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”

What can we learn from David and Goliath? Trials are part of life, so look to God to fight through it with you. Trust that nothing is impossible and you can overcome every situation. It won’t be easy, and it may not be quick. There will be ups and downs; but as David said, the battle is the Lord’s and that is who you need. God can hold you up even when you can’t stand—nothing is too big for our God to conquer.

Jeremiah 32:27 NLT tells us, “I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”

Philippians 4:13 NLT says, “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
