May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. –2 Corinthians 13:14 NIV
First, He loved you. Second, He redeemed you. Third, He gave you hope. What does this mean to the believer?
Love: John 3:16 (NIV) – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Redemption: Ephesians 1:7 (NIV) – “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”
Hope: John 11:25 (NIV) – “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.’”
Don’t allow anyone to deter you from following God’s will for your life. Let love, redemption, and hope guide you as you follow His will. As Philippians 1:9-11 (NLT) says, “I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.”
- Thank your Heavenly Father for the gifts of love, redemption, and hope.
- Be open to what God calls you to do as a son/daughter.
