I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. –Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV

Life-Saving Transplant

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. –Ezekiel 36:26-27 NIV

These verses were written to the Israelites at a time when, as a result of their disobedience, they had been forced from their homeland and came under the rule of a pagan nation. In spite of their dire state, God offered wholeness and restoration to a people who didn’t deserve it. He offers life and vitality to you too. But we can’t receive this new heart without a donor. Jesus is the only One who possesses a pure and untainted heart; through His death, you can receive spiritual life and strength. All you need to do is take what He offers you freely! This incredible gift doesn’t come by being good or trying hard. It comes by simple faith in Him as your Savior, and by grace, through faith, you receive the forgiveness only He can offer (Ephesians 2:8 NIV).Remember you can either have a heart that is dead, or a heart that is alive. You can possess eternal life and confidently know that Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25-26 NIV).

prayer focuses

If you need a heart transplant today, tell Jesus, “I understand You died for me to take away my sins.

I trust You, and I believe. Please forgive me and come into my heart.”   Ask God to create in you a pure heart (Psalm 51:10).
