Life Always Overcomes Death

MAY 2ND, 2020      |       Living in Florida can make it easy for a person to forget that it’s winter. We mow grass year-round, flowers don’t die from frost, and most trees don’t shed their leaves. In January, we can go to the beach, not ice fishing. Isn’t that the reason so many people move south?

It can be depressing to see flowers die and the sky turn gray in the winter—if you don’t know the secret. Although trees shed their leaves and flowers cease to bloom, there is a spark of life left in them. When spring comes and the days lengthen, sunshine causes the dead-looking plants to come alive. As if they are awakening from a long winter’s nap, they begin to bloom. Life always overcomes death.

How many times in our lives have we considered something dead because of what we see on the surface? A marriage that’s headed for divorce, children who have turned their backs on God, or finances headed for bankruptcy? Our God is the author of life, and He’s always working to resurrect that spark.

Does your situation look dead? Let the Son shine on your life—He’ll awaken new life. Life always defeats death.

Life Always Overcomes Death

You have granted me life and lovingkindness; and your care has preserved my spirit.

No matter how hopeless it may seem, never stop hoping. There’s always a way when the Father is involved.

Bloom for all the world to see, for out of despair comes hope. Out of hope comes joy, and joy brings life.
