IT IS GOOD

Then God looked over all He had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day. –Genesis 1:31 NLT

Genesis tells us the story of creation, how in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless, empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. The Spirit of God hovered over the surface of those waters. On day one God spoke, and there was light. He then separated the light from the darkness. God proclaimed that it was good. Day two He separated the waters from the heavens and the earth, He called it sky. Day three He separated the dry ground from the seas, and He caused vegetation and seed-bearing plants to grow. Day four He created the sun, the stars, and the moon. He proclaimed it good. Day five He created the sea creatures and birds, each able to reproduce its own kind. He proclaimed it good. Day six, He created animals of every kind, and He saw that it was good. Then He created man, and gave him dominion over everything on the earth. This time he proclaimed it VERY good. Adam fell and lost perfection, but Christ came and restored what was lost. In God’s eyes, through Christ, you too are very good!

Think about how majestic all of creation is, yet we are of more value to the Father than creation.

Thank Him for such love. Father, thank You for sending Your Son to redeem me!
