Many people waste the present day by thinking about the “If only….” Dreaming about all the things they don’t have or wishing they did. This is a waste of precious time. Life goes by quickly; don’t waste another day with the wrong goals in mind.Did you ever get what you desired, and yet it was not what you expected—it didn’t give you the results you thought? It was only a temporary pleasure. To truly enjoy your life, you need to learn how to be content regardless of whether it’s what you were expecting or not.Contentment is not determined by your circumstances. The apostle Paul was in prison when he wrote Philippians 4:12-13 (NIV), “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” When you trust in the Lord you don’t have to think about “If only.” Instead, realize that all you have, present or future, is from God.
Be thankful that God will always love and understand you because He looks at your heart.
