But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. –Isaiah 40:31 NLT
Merriam-Webster defines “hope” as: 1. to cherish a desire with anticipation: to want something to happen or be true 2. to expect with confidence: TRUST.
Too often people lose hope in their trials. God never changes and can always be trusted. He is faithful. He is Hope for the hopeless. Run, don’t walk to the Lord who knows your heart—He is your lifeline. When fear causes you to doubt, know there is hope because of the Cross. He can do more than you can imagine.
Christian singer/songwriter Josh Groban sings about God in, “You Raise Me Up”:
When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
That is the Hope we can trust.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope. –Psalm 16:9 NKJV
Thank God for His mercy and grace. He is our strong tower.
