Say Goodbye To Your Shame

“Wash me and I will be whiter than snow…Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me…Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” –Psalm 51:7-12 NIV

Because of Christ’s sacrifice, you don’t have to stay lost or ashamed. Remember that God didn’t sacrifice His Son for only a few qualified people; He did it for everybody. (John 3:16).

When you accept Jesus into your life, you become clean, pure and whole. How, you ask?

As Jesus hung on the cross, He took your sin and shame upon Himself. He took it from you, died with it and rose again in victory. Your sin and shame died with Him, and as He rose from the grave in victory, you rose with Him!

Even though this act of love happened more than 2,000 years ago, it still applies today. Jesus claimed victory for your past, present and future. All you have to do is accept this act of love and follow Him.

God will be able to guide you as you begin to pray and set your focus on Him. He desires a relationship with you. He wants to provide you with His friendship so that you can be honest with Him and talk to Him about every aspect of your life.

As you begin to grasp this unconditional love and friendship, you will feel the freedom to let go of your past, shame and guilt.

Above all, God created you to have relationship with Him. He does not want you to live with heavy burdens and He sent Jesus so that you wouldn’t have to.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank God for making a way for you to gain victory and have relationship with Him.
  • Pray for an understanding of how much God loves you.
