In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. –Psalm 5:3 NIV
Do you know that a few minutes of morning prayer has the power to change the course of your day? If you don’t have time to chat with God at daybreak, you’re skipping the most valuable appointment of your day. When you overlook spending time with God—in His Word, in prayer, in spirit—you’re essentially forfeiting the blessings and opportunities God has in store for you.
God’s word says we don’t have because we don’t seek, we don’t ask, or we don’t obey. If we want God’s best for our lives, we must be diligent in spending time with Him. When we put a halt to—the commotions of the world, the busyness of the flesh, and the distractions from the enemy—and put God first, He holds nothing back from those who faithfully seek His face, seek His will, and seek His holy ways.
Before rushing into the day, allocate some quiet time with God and listen to what He has to say. When you seek God first, your day will be better and brighter. When you make God your first appointment of every day, your day will be filled with His blessings of provision, protection, and soul prosperity.
- Pray His Word, “Answer me, O LORD, because your mercy is good. Out of your unlimited compassion, turn to me” (Psalm 69:16 GW).
- Do what The Word says to do… “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6 GNT).
