Put on your new nature, created to be like God–truly righteous and holy. -Ephesians 4:24 NLT
Countless individuals come from dysfunctional families. Sadly, they grew up in chaos and calamity. Many find it difficult to overcome and live beyond their early childhood.
If you are a believer and come from a similar scenario, you may struggle with bad habits or behaviors that are inappropriate as a follower of Christ. Don’t worry—God accepts you where you are but loves you enough to begin the process of transformation.
You have a unique role in God’s family. God wants to see you mature and grow into a warrior for Him. Paul wrote, “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” Romans 12:4-5.
God wants you to release your old nature and embrace His new nature. On your own, you cannot achieve this transformation. Surrendering to God and the works of His Spirit will empower you to embrace and live the new life God destined you for–a functioning part of the body of Christ.
