Fine-Tuned Vision

JUNE 7TH, 2022      |        Reality TV. Talk shows. Gossip shows. Constant cooking shows. Nonstop news networks. The Internet. Social media. Blogs. Political websites. Gambling websites. Dating websites. Pornography. Cell phones. iPads. Apps. Podcasts. The list goes on, and on, and on… How exhausting! There are so many distractors tempting us to take our eyes away from God and leading us down worthless paths.

Despite our best intentions, it can be hard to focus on whatever things are true, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8) when we are surrounded by so many subtle and, at times, obvious distractions.

Yet, we can be encouraged that God can fine-tune our vision. As we shift our focus and attention to Him and His Word, the distractions will fade from our lives, allowing us to concentrate on things He deems worthy.

As we give the Lord our time, our focus will begin to shift. Peace and passion for His Word and His will can replace the desire for distractors that not only steal our time but plant seeds that have the potential to destroy lives. Over time, our Lord can revive and renew our minds to be used for His purpose.

Fine-Tuned Vision

Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way.

There is a fighter in you. Fight until you see victory. Fight on, knowing you are never alone.

Pray for God to eliminate distractions from your daily life.

Ask God to help you to focus on His Word and His will.
