Faith Is Not An Emotion

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV

God will use your prayer times to speak to you and comfort you. During worship, you can experience a feeling of freedom as you are breaking off strongholds from your life. These things are apart from your relationship with God but they are not all your relationship with Him is.

It is easy to be caught up in the “hype” of Christianity or in the feeling of God being right by your side. Faith is defined as believing in what you cannot see. When you aren’t feeling God, it doesn’t mean He’s not there. Sometimes God guides you by allowing you to choose to trust Him and follow His ways even when you don’t feel Him.

Walking by faith means knowing that God is walking by your side. It means dedicating time to Him and putting Him first in your life. Faith means being the hands and feet of Jesus. It means reaching out to others in need and encouraging those around you.

It means knowing that God is good despite what your circumstance may be. God cares for you and will never abandon you. Faith is believing these things regardless of what you are feeling.

Even if you feel like God is far away, know that He is not. He’s right there with you.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank God for giving you the ability to walk by faith.
  • Pray for an increase in your faith and trust.
