Enemy’s Ploy – Part 3

AUGUST 3rd, 2022      |    Have you ever considered that the attacks against you aren’t about you at all? The enemy knew God’s plans for Ruth’s descendants; so he attacked her, hoping God’s plans would fail. But the hand of God was strong on Ruth; and even when her mother-in-law begged Ruth to leave, she refused. Ruth’s decision would forever change her life and the lives of countless others.

The next generation needs you to fight hard, pray, and cling to God and His calling. If Ruth didn’t stay with Naomi or work in Boaz’s field, she and Boaz would never have met, married, and become great-grandparents to David. The enemy knows God’s plans for your life, and it makes him afraid. So, he hunts, attacks, wounds, and keeps coming after you, all in an attempt to keep you and future generations from fulfilling God’s plan.

If you are under fire and it feels like the blows just keep coming, one after another, declare as David did: “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me” (Psalm 56:3-4 NASB).

Thank God that He is greater than all the enemy’s attacks.

Ask the Holy Spirit to keep you on God’s path, even when you’re feeling under fire.
