Don’t Compromise

When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.

–Proverbs 10:25 NIV

The definition of compromise is “settlement by concession.” Although in some cases it is the right decision to concede, there is one thing you should never compromise—your faith.

There is no risk when you take the easy road and don’t stand on your convictions, especially if there is a fear of losing a friendship or even a family member relationship.

Believe in His Word: John 3:17 (NIV) says, For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. His love for you deserves a heart full of praise and loyalty. When you tell others about Him, you are fulfilling God’s design for you.

1 Samuel 12:24 (NIV) says, But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. God is looking for faithful servants. There is no other sense of security except in Him. His last words before ascending to Heaven were, I am with you always, (Matthew 28:20 NIV). Don’t waiver or succumb to worldly pressure—be confident in your faith.

Prayer Focus

  • Pray for strength to stand firm and not compromise your beliefs.
  • Thank the Lord you will never be out of His sight, for He lovingly cares for you.
