For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

The Church: We Are His Church
Jesus says in Matthew 16:18 (ESV), “…on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Isn’t that awesome news? Regardless of how hard our enemy tries, he cannot prevail against God’s Church.
God himself designed the Church and desires it to work in accordance with His will. Let’s remember that the Church is not a building or a denomination, but God’s people. We are His Church, and it is our responsibility to be a light in our communities.
As the church, we have the responsibility to love people, serve our communities, and ultimately, point people to Jesus Christ. Today, let’s join together in fasting and prayer for churches worldwide and believe God for revival and an outpouring of His Spirit.
Ask and believe that God will restore the Church to its rightful place in your community. Pray for pastors, that God would renew their strength, protect them and their families, and give them a fresh and new passion to reach the lost.
Consider how God may ask you to play your part in reaching people for Christ through the light of the Church. It’s through God’s people that the body of Christ is strengthened and that many more will be added.
Pray for churches in your community—that God would use them in a more powerful way to reach the lost and meet the community’s needs in a tangible way.
Pray for the body of Christ—that His people would be strengthened to walk out the purposes He has for His Church.
