The Church: Sharing God’s Love

God is crazy in love with you. He loves you so much that He sacrificed His one and only Son just for an uninterrupted relationship with you. No matter the mistakes of your past, the challenges of your present, or an uncertain future, God loves you just as you are. Romans 8:38 (NLT) tells us, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love….” Isn’t it encouraging to know that your heavenly Father will never stop loving you?

Have you ever stopped to think, though, that all around you are people who don’t know the love of God like you do? Maybe they were hurt by church or grew up hearing about a God who was only interested in rules rather than a relationship. God desires that none would perish but all would have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV) says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

When Jesus was here on earth, he was found among the “least of these.” He sought out the sinners, honored the broken-hearted, and ate with the tax-collectors. In other words, he came to seek and to save the lost. Not one person who encountered the love of Jesus left the same as they came.

When you first encountered the love of God, what was it that changed in your life? Who was the person that extended the love of Christ to you? How did it change your perspective?

Pray that God would give you eyes to see someone who needs to encounter the love of God.

Pray that God gives you the resources to share His love to the lost in tangible ways.
