We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.

The Church: The Next Generation
The book of Joshua states, “Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel” (Joshua 24:31 NIV). The Israelites had seen God work in their lives. He gave them victory in battle and gave them the land He had promised them, where they lived in peace for generations. And He promised to protect and defend the Israelites as long as they obeyed His laws. But when the elders died and no one was left to tell the stories of God’s great deeds, Israel lost their devotion to the Lord and turned away from Him again. Judges 2:10 (NLT) says, “After that generation died, another generation grew up who did not acknowledge the Lord or remember the mighty things he had done for Israel.”
Young people are the future of our country, the world, and God’s church. They are the strong, determined hands and feet of Jesus who have a lifetime to serve the Lord in innumerable ways. It is our responsibility to pass on to the next generation the goodness of God. Don’t be silent. Look for ways to invest in the next generation and share with them what God has done in your life.
Pray that the next generation would see themselves the way God does and that they would be filled with a secure identity in Christ.
Pray for protection over the children in your life.
