Confronting Confusion

God didn’t give us a cowardly spirit but a spirit of power, love, and good judgment. –2 Timothy 1:7 GW

Confusion is the great immobilizer, keeping you from moving forward, causing you to look behind and all around you. Confusion that is rooted in fear is the worst because it can be paralyzing.

Uncertainty and doubt can hinder your judgment as you waver back and forth until fear gives way to distrust. Removing the obstacle of fear requires ruthless honesty to identify and combat every fear with God’s truth and let His love occupy those places.

Sometimes God uses confusion as a means to guide you away from a blunder and into the safety of His waiting room where He develops your strength of character and prepares you for courageous action.

In seasons of uncertainty or delays, remember to faithfully follow the instructions God provides. You can confront confusion by relying on the power of the Holy Spirit as you diligently take purposeful action based on God’s wisdom and direction.

Confronting confusion successfully is about keeping your priorities in order and giving God first place by trusting Him to open the right doors at the right time.

Your future is secure and God is actively working to bring you to a place of strength and confidence according to His perfect plan. You can settle your anxious mind by remembering that God is faithfully overseeing every season of your life!

Prayer Focus

  • Ask God to show you which fears and confusion you need to combat with His truth in order to let His love occupy those places.
  • Pray for good judgment to keep your priorities in order and give God first place in your life while you trust His timing.
