Believe!

March 23, 2021     |     Where’s God in all my problems? Doesn’t He care that I’m suffering? Doesn’t He know that I can’t take any more of this? Is He even there? Has He lost control of this world? If you get discouraged and begin to think about such questions, ponder this.

When Jesus was hanging on the cross—beaten, bloody, and barely resembling the appearance of a man—what do you suppose His disciples were thinking? Didn’t they all scatter? How do you suppose those who had followed Him felt? Don’t you imagine that they felt like He had failed and that God had lost control of the situation? The disciples didn’t understand that a resurrection was on the way. In reality, the exact opposite of their thoughts was true, because God was never more in control than in that moment.

They could not see the work God was doing, and the work He’s doing on your behalf can also be hard to see. However, He is working all things together for your good, and He has plans to bless you and not to harm you. He has plans to give you hope and a future. There’s a resurrection on the way for you too, for from the ashes of despair, hope shall arise. Believe!

Believe!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will rise up a standard against him. Don’t focus on the impossible—believe.

Problems often appear larger than they are, but faith sees them as they will be. Trust that He’s in the waiting, He’s able, and He cares.
