Be Unashamed

I eagerly hope and expect that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. -Philippians 1:20 NIV

Have you ever walked away from a conversation or a circumstance hanging your head in shame because you failed to stand for Faith? If we are not comfortable sharing our faith, other people may miss out on the blessings that come from knowing the truth.

Your experiences—the struggles, the crushing, God’s winepress can be the opportunity to pass on the absolute truth of God to someone else. Your personal experience is the one thing that cannot be argued. Think through what you easily believe, practice expressing your beliefs.

Choose some of your favorite promises in God’s Word and practice explaining them, sharing them clearly in your own words. Look in the mirror and tell that person in your own words what the Lord has done in your life and why you believe God’s Word.

Always make it a practice to stir your own mind thoroughly to think through what you have easily believed. Your position is not really yours until you make it yours through suffering and study. The author or speaker from whom you learn the most is not the one who teaches you something you didn’t know before, but the one who helps you take a truth with which you have quietly struggled, give it expression, and speak it clearly and boldly.
