Amazing Savior

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. –Hebrews 12:2 KJV

What an amazing Savior we have! Jesus began our life’s story at our creation. As the Author of our life, He created our inmost being; He knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). He has plans for us—to prosper us and not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). He loved us so much and is so full of joy for us that He came to earth to save us. He endured the shame of the Cross so that we could have life in all of its abundance (John 10:10). Our amazing Savior is our Leader and our Captain in this life that He has authored and created for us. He sits at the right hand of the throne of God, in the Father’s presence interceding for us. Jesus, our amazing Savior, is forever cheering us on as we run the race set before us toward the finish line to receive the crown of life. Friend, look upon Jesus. Do not let your eyes focus on the passing distractions of this world. Let our amazing Savior finish the last lines of your life’s story.

prayer focuses

Holy Spirit, help me to stay focused on my amazing Savior, Jesus.

Help me, Lord, to run and not grow weary; help me to run and not be faint. Help me to reach the finish line for Your glory.
