A Word for You—Don’t Do It!

OCTOBER 9TH, 2021      |    Are you thinking about doing something that goes against God’s best for your life? Whether you are on a park bench, locked in a prison cell, sitting in a parked car, or perhaps kneeling in a pew, God has a word for you.

He might be saying to you, “The thoughts rummaging through your mind are not of My Spirit. Don’t do it! I know what you’re facing. Turn away and seek Me with your whole being! What you’re contemplating is not My will for you. Place your hope in Me. I’m here for you. Don’t lean on your own understanding. Don’t be misled by your feelings. Lean on Me and together we will make wrongs right. Before you do anything, talk it out with Me. Again, I say, to you My child, don’t do it! Let go and take hold of My mercy and grace.”

Follow all the directions the Lord your God has given you. Then you will continue to live, life will go well for you, and you will live for a long time in the land that you are going to possess (Deuteronomy 5:33 GW).

A Word For You—Don’t Do It!

Wait calmly for God alone, my soul, because my hope comes from him.

Are you thinking about doing something that goes against God’s best for your life?

Allow God’s Holy Spirit to speak to your heart as you sit quietly in God’s presence. Ask for God’s wisdom and His truth.

Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him” Psalm 62:5 (NLT). Recall what God’s done in the past for you.
