A Missionary Call

JUNE 29TH, 2020      |       Many people believe a call to be a missionary involves traveling to other countries. Actually, mission work can occur near or far. Your mission field can include your family, friends, or even people God puts on your heart, often right in your community. It’s for every person who feels the calling.

God’s personal plan for your life is responding to people with grace who are in need. People who are forgotten need to see the heart of Jesus from someone who cares. God made us to be a blessing to others. A servant’s strength is a humble spirit that honors God—people who genuinely want to serve others and be lights in a dark world.

Our present world disregards the elderly, many of whom are in nursing homes or care facilities. These precious people need volunteers who care. What a blessing for your mission work to be a light for the elderly. But wherever you are called, you can show your love for God by loving others—especially the forgotten in today’s world. Remember, your mission field is wherever you are.

A MISSIONARY CALL

And now, in my old age, don’t set me aside. Don’t abandon me when my strength is failing.

–Psalm 71:9 NLT

God has a plan for your life—answer His call.
