Respect Yourself

Self-respect is a valuable trait that will cause you to become the greatest version of yourself. When you value yourself in a godly way; you in turn are well-fashioned to esteem others and add worth to their lives.

Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,” and “your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27NKJV). To care for and appreciate your whole being; your body, mind, soul, and spirit is the greatest thing you can do for yourself. Why? Because when you take proper care of yourself, you in turn offer to—God, others, and the world—the healthiest you possible. Below is an acronym of the word “Self-Respect” that was written on a blackboard at a local gym. May it inspire and motivate you in a holy, healthy, happy kind of way!

More to Ponder: A healthy body, mind, soul, and spirit has the power to carry you to greater heights in time to come. When you properly take care of your overall wellbeing, you’ll be more robust to fulfill the things God has waiting for you to achieve.
